This thread kind of got burried in an older one so I thought I would start a new one to keep ip up to date.I recently started using the new Axciton 5 channel box with the new motion sensor. My Gawd is this thing awesome!! It is so accurate, it even marks the movement from where the subject answers the question! I have been very impressed so far but have yet to have someone attempt countermeasures. I think the main reason for that is once they sit on the sensor, they know they are being monitored. I highly recommend this sensor! Ted IP: Logged |

I think the Axciton sensor is a little "noisy" and picks up cardio pulse rate. But it certainly is useful. Lafayette has a similar version but I feel is a bit "cleaner," that is, less noisy. Both are accurate and should be used. They have been fielded for a few months and several co-workers have reported (and demonstrated) successes with both.IP: Logged |

I use the Axciton Sensor Pad and am very happy. As for noise, I just turn down the sensitivity and obtain great results. I haven't used the Lafayette but someone I know does and likes it. The only trouble is the blatter keeps going bad and has to be replaced.IP: Logged |

The newest Lafayette sensor is a piezo-type sensor and has no bladder. It is similar to the Axciton sensor in function but appears to be less affected by the cardio and other "noise." However, as noted previously, both work and clearly identify lower extremity movement.IP: Logged |

To add my $.02 worth. At my LE (regular) job I use the Lafayette LX3000 with the air bladders. It works very well and is a deterrent by itself; however, I have had a little bit of trouble with the expansion of the bladders, most especially the seat, with it breaking the heat sealed ribs causing large bubbles and having to replace them often. On a side note, Chris and Ross have been VERY good at assisting in this matter. At my private business I use the LX4000, which I found extremely sensitive and worth the price. Initally, it seems that only a seat sensor would not be able to detect movements other than legs and toes, but it picks up most movement, very well. Jim IP: Logged | |
